I designed these battle mats for my own play group and we have found them very useful and fun to use. Currently I have two designs but I'm looking to add more in the future so let me know if you have any ideas.

One great feature of the mats is that they are made from a soft PVC (like a soft, flexible, glass material) which enables you to easily write on them with whiteboard pens. This lets you customise the maps for different scenarios (i.e. drawing some buildings or other landmarks in important positions).

Each mat is 600mm x 400mm in size with a 16 x 24 grid. That is a 23.6' x 15.7' inches with each grid square being roughly 1 inch.

Please note that when you receive the mat it might initially be a little difficult to lay completely flat. Fortunately, they are easy to straighten out by heating them a little (i.e. by leaving them in the sun for a few minutes.
